"Have It, Why Not Use It"

Have you ever thought if there will be a day in the future that Artificial Intelligence, or

Will AI eventually fully replace humans? There are many movies and shows such as the

“Matrix,” but most of those movies usually give us a result of AI against humans. However, is

that the only future of AI? Even now, almost every school does not accept work done by AI, and this action is considered cheating. On the other hand, some people believe if you have the tool, why don’t you use it? Rene, Founder, and CEO of an AI Company, as one of those people, has some special and intriguing views on this topic.

From the perspective of most people, Rene’s early years can be considered

“unsuccessful.” When Rene first entered college in Missouri at 18, he found it difficult to keep pace with his classmates. “I dropped out of college my very first semester because I cannot do homework,” Rene commented. Rene mentioned that he felt struggling in high school, and things just got worse in college. Some people might believe your life has reached an end if you drop out, but the story of Rene proved that life does not end until it ends.

Rene’s journey in Missouri might have ended, but a new journey starts. After dropping out of college, Rene moved to California for a new life. The reason for this is quite simple, “...money,” Rene explained. Based on Rene’s words, the lifestyle there is to live with farms and cows, but this is not what he wants to do. After Rene reached

California, he started to enjoy the new lifestyle and received a second chance. However, not everything is so well during this time, “...in Missouri, we make like $15.00 an hour, but you can’t live on that here,” Rene suggested. The expense of a city can differ variously, and Rene had to work his life out to have a place to stand. Gladly, it did not take him too long to find a chance that could lead him to success.

Perhaps God gave a gift to Rene, because AI became popular, and it is still a hot topic

today. Although Rene had some experience with the Unreal Engine, he did not have any

professional lessons related to computer science. When Rene first entered the field related to AI, he was lost and scared. Instead of giving up, Rene decided to give his best shot. “I wanted to prove that I could do it...” Rene mentioned. However, things changed when Rene started to go deeper and further into AI.

Rene suggests that you need two steps to do something: the components and the actionable plan. To describe this, Rene used a good example of building a rocket ship. If someone asks a person who has not done any studies before to build a rocket ship, then the plan will fail because they do not know the components of the rocket ship such as fuels. However, “When you can use AI to figure out a component list, you get a high level of understanding of what you need to do.” Rene claimed. According to Rene’s words, AI had helped him a lot against his competitors and other situations to gain benefits. Within that belief, he recently started a company, and he is planning to hire humans, but AI employees.

After all, AI has a lot of benefits, right? Sadly, nothing is perfect. As mentioned, almost all schools, no matter high school or college, do not accept any AI work. To Rene, “AI is just a tool,” Rene claimed. As a businessman, Rene’s investor does not care how he wins, but does he win. If the calculator is allowed, why not AI? Back in the 1980s-1990s, there was a time when teachers wanted to ban calculators. Rene believes that using AI is no different than using a calculator, and it is fair to use a tool to solve the problem you have.

After ten years of life after dropping out of college, Rene developed some deep and

amazing thoughts. It is true college might cost you quite a lot of money, but there are still many advantages of going to college, “...mostly your network,” Rene responded. Going to college is much less risky since many jobs today require a degree. Rene did almost everything in the beginning all by himself, and he thinks things would be much easier if he had the network. However, knowing what is for you and what is not is also important. Rene believes that not everyone needs to go to college if they are sure that this is not the path for them, and the best evidence to prove that is Rene’s progress.

Rene’s journey helped us understand that AI can be better than humans in many ways.

Now, back to the question he had in the beginning, will AI replace humans? “Hell yeah!” Rene

suggested. However, Rene believes this will not be a bad result. Back in Missouri, Rene did not like the life and work as mentioned. There are many people in this world doing things they do not want to do for a living. Rene thinks that if AI can do the necessary work for us, then people can spend more time with their families and enjoy their lives.

Rene’s story is filled with both obstacles and success. In that case, what did he get from

those precious memories? The purpose of life for Rene is to be happy and live in the moment.

Well, what is the point of having happiness if we are going to lose it after we die anyway? “The point is not behind having it. The point is the journey,” Rene said. There are many things we cannot control in life. For example, you can get hit by a car or get struck by lightning every time on a rainy day, or even the sun can explode. Future cannot be controlled, “...so why can’t we at least enjoy what we have?” Rene responded.

One’s journey can be covered with thorns, but is it desert or grass field after the thorns?

One’s path might be debatable, but what is who is going to judge? One’s choice might seem

confusing, but perhaps you just did not understand. One’s decision might seem off, but how do you know about the future? Time will be the answer for Rene.
